How do I access the Current Events Club website?
You can watch lectures from the CEC website on your computer, tablet or smart phone.
Simply type currenteventsclub.ca into your web browser (Safari, Explorer, Chrome) or in Google to call up our website.
Where and when can I watch a lecture?
The Feature Lecture will be filmed and presented at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church in Cameron Hall (address: 1585 Yonge Street @ St. Clair).
You may register to watch in person, or you can watch it live streamed online from 1 - 2pm on the appropriate date from the CEC website.
If you miss it, you can also view it anytime thereafter on-demand from the website archive.
How do I watch the lecture?
Look for the menu at the top right of the website. (On a tablet or phone, look for the = menu symbol.) Click on Lectures and type in the club password.
Scroll down to the desired lecture (the date is on the photo of the speaker) and click WATCH NOW to run the video. Click the play button to run video. Click the back arrow to exit.
Can I ask a speaker a question?
If you’re attending the lecture, please feel free to ask a question of the speaker during the Q&A session.
How can I access the Member Directory?
Look for the menu at the top right of the website. (On a tablet or phone, look for the = menu symbol.) Hover over Membership to highlight the dropdown menu.
The Directory is the first dropdown item. To look up member phone and email addresses, click on Directory and enter the club password. Scroll down to see the list of members.
Communications is the second dropdown item. Click on Communications and enter the club password to find all communications (Welcome Letter, who’s on the Executive, volunteer opportunities and the Club Constitution).
